939 PM CDT Fri may 27 2016

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 915 am CDT Saturday for
southeastern Saline and McPherson counties...

At 937 PM CDT... local law enforcement reported flooding across the
warned area. Several rural roads are closed or experiencing high
water due to saturated soils. Excessive runoff from earlier heavy
rainfall will continue to cause slow rises on area creeks and minor
flooding problems.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
McPherson... Lindsborg... Moundridge... Inman... Galva... Canton...
Marquette... Gypsum... Windom... New Cambria... Kipp...
McPherson Airport and Roxbury.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
