* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
southwestern New Castle County in northern Delaware...
northern Kent County in central Delaware...
northeastern Queen Anne's County in northeastern Maryland...
northern Kent County in northeastern Maryland...
Cecil County in northeastern Maryland...

* until 630 am EDT

* at 536 am EDT... Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm
capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess
of 60 mph. This storm was located over Middle River... and moving
east at 50 mph.

* Locations impacted include...
Dover... Middletown... Smyrna... Chestertown... Clayton... Delaware
City... Cheswold... Cecilton... Millington... Sudlersville...
Betterton... Hartly... Cayots... Kennedyville... Bohemias Mills...
Delaney Corner... Port Penn... Warwick... Hollywood Beach and Massey.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Severe thunderstorms produce damaging winds... large hail... deadly
lightning and very heavy rain. For your protection... move to an
interior room on the lowest floor of your home or business. Heavy
rains flood roads quickly so do not drive into areas where water
covers the Road.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds... frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember... if you can hear thunder... you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

northeastern Talbot counties...

At 517 am EDT... a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from Lochearn to Locust Point to near South Gate... and
moving east at 50 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Centerville... Chestertown... Denton... Centreville... Greensboro...
Oakland... Ridgely... Rock Hall... Church Hill... Cecilton...
Millington... Sudlersville... Betterton... Goldsboro... Queen Anne... Old
Town... Kennedyville... Starr... Warwick and hope.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms... and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
