... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening...
... Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 7 PM this evening to 1 PM
EST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Burlington continues the Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... until 7 PM EST this
evening.

* Locations... eastern Clinton County New York.

* Hazard types... snow and blowing snow today... and bitterly cold
wind chills tonight into Saturday.

* Accumulations... 4 to 6 inches of snow.

* Maximum snowfall rate... up to a half inch per hour... mainly
this morning through early afternoon.

* Wind chill readings... as low as 29 below due to temperatures 7
below to 19 above zero... and winds northwest 10 to 15 mph with
gusts up to 25 mph.

* Timing... light snow will continue this morning... before tapering
off to flurries this afternoon. Dangerously cold wind chills
will develop tonight through Saturday.

* Impacts... snow and blowing snow will cause difficult driving
conditions due to reduced visibilities and snow on roads.
Bitterly cold wind chills of this magnitude are capable of
developing frostbite on exposed skin in less than 30 minutes.

* Winds... west 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures... lows 8 below to 19 above zero. Highs 7 to 30
above.

* Visibilities... as low as one mile at times in snow and blowing
snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas.

weather situation.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
