northern Campbell County in northern Kentucky...
northern Clermont County in southwestern Ohio...
southeastern Hamilton County in southwestern Ohio...

* until 815 am EDT.

* At 516 am EDT... radar indicated that thunderstorms had produced
heavy rain across the warned area. Radar has estimated 1.5 to 2.25
inches of rainfall this morning across the warned area. Additional
rainfall of 1 to 1.5 inches is likely this morning. Runoff from
this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cincinnati... Covington... Erlanger... Fort Thomas... Newport...
Edgewood... Fort Mitchell... Villa Hills... Highland Heights...
Taylor Mill... Bellevue... Fort Wright... Dayton... Ludlow...

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of southeast Indiana...
northern Kentucky and southwest Ohio... including the following
areas... in southeast Indiana... Dearborn... Ohio... Ripley and
Switzerland. In northern Kentucky... Boone... Campbell and
Kenton. In southwest Ohio... Clermont... Hamilton and Highland.

* Through Friday morning

* the ground within the watch area remains quite wet from recent
heavy rainfall over the past few days. Additional rounds of
showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain are likely through
early Friday morning which could lead to flash flooding.
Another 1 to 2 inches of rainfall will be possible with
locally higher amounts.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding
occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas...
and be careful when approaching Highway dips and underpasses.

* At 439 am EDT... radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain
training across the advised area. Radar estimates that 1 to 1.5
inches has fallen in the past hour... with another half inch
possible.


* Minor flooding of low lying and poorly drained streets... highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition... farmland near creeks...
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include
Cincinnati... Covington... Independence... Alexandria...
Highland Heights... Taylor Mill... Forestville... Claryville... Amelia...

1 to 2 inches has fallen in the past hour. An additional half inch
is possible prior to ending.
