The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* flood advisory for...
northern Oklahoma County in central Oklahoma...
southern Logan County in central Oklahoma...

* until 1030 am CDT

* at 724 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated two to three inches of rain
have already fallen from thunderstorms with heavy rainfall
overnight. Additional half inch of rain may occur through 930 am
CDT. Flooding is likely ongoing and additional flooding is
possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
northern Oklahoma City, Edmond, Guthrie, Bethany, Warr Acres, the
Village, Nichols Hills, Luther, Arcadia, Meridian, Navina and
Seward.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots. Turn around, don't
drown.

rivers... and flooding of low lying areas continues for

* portions of central Oklahoma, east central Oklahoma, southeast
Oklahoma, southern Oklahoma, and southwest Oklahoma, including
the following areas, in central Oklahoma, Canadian, Cleveland,
Grady, Lincoln, McClain, Oklahoma, and Pottawatomie. In east
central Oklahoma, Pontotoc and Seminole. In southeast
Oklahoma, Atoka, Bryan, Coal, Hughes, Johnston, and Marshall.
In southern Oklahoma, Carter, Garvin, Love, and Murray. In
southwest Oklahoma, Caddo.

* Through Sunday morning

* widespread 2 to 5 inches of rain are forecast with locally
higher amounts possible.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
