... Flood Warning extended until late Wednesday night...

the Flood Warning continues for
the Muddy Boggy Creek near Farris.

* Until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 8:30 am Monday the stage was 47.4 feet.

* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 43.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Muddy Boggy Creek will continue rising and crest
near 47.5 feet Monday evening. The Muddy Boggy Creek will fall
below flood stage Wednesday evening.

* Impact... at 48.0 feet... low-lying fields in central Atoka County
flood several hours before the crest passes near Farris.
Farmlands... pastures... and rural roads are flooded to depths of 5
feet in southeastern Atoka County.

The Flood Warning continues for
the clear Boggy Creek near Caney

* until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.

* The current stage dat is not available.

* Major flooding is occurring.

* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

* Forecast... the clear Boggy Creek is near crest and will remain
near 24 feet through Thursday.

* Impact... at 25.0 feet... creek levels rise to six feet higher than
flood stage... spreading over most of the bottomlands in western
Atoka County... and the northeastern edge of Bryan County.
Agricultural lands are inundated for many hours... and machinery
and other property are cut off from access. Many rural roads become
impassable. Downstream in Choctaw County... U.S. Highway 70 may be
overtopped several hours after the crest passes the Caney river
gage site.

... New record monthly rainfall set at Oklahoma City...

The official measured rainfall on Saturday at Will Rogers World
Airport in Oklahoma City was 3.73 inches. This brings the monthly
total for may to 18.19 inches. This breaks the may record of
14.52 inches, set in 2013. The 18.19 inches total also breaks
the record for any month on record. That record was 14.66 inches,
set in June 1989. The official monthly will be updated at
the end of the month.


Precipitation records for Oklahoma City date back to 1890.
