Areal Flood Advisory

Statement as of 9:26 AM CDT on May 19, 2013

Expires 1:30 PM EDT on May 19, 2013

The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
Bledsoe County in east Tennessee...
Rhea County in east Tennessee...

* until 1230 PM CDT /130 PM EDT/.

* At 920 am CDT... Doppler radar revealed a cluster of showers and
thunderstorms moving southeast around 20 mph across Bledsoe and Rhea
counties... generally over areas that are very saturated from heavy
rainfall last night. Radar has estimated that between an inch and an
inch and a half of rain has fallen during the past hour over
northern Bledsoe County. Additional rainfall of one to two inches
will be possible in the next couple of hours... which may lead to
flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
