... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 1030 PM EDT for
Lincoln... northern Boone... Putnam... Kanawha... west central
Nicholas... southeastern Cabell... Clay and northwestern Fayette
counties...

At 832 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated that thunderstorms producing
moderate rain were continuing over the warned area. Although the
heaviest rains have moved east of the warned area... flooding and
high water may still occur this evening. Do not drive through
flooded roads.

Charleston... Nitro... Fayetteville... Winfield... Hamlin... Clay... Jefferson...
South Charleston... St. Albans... Dunbar... Oak Hill... hurricane...
Sissonville... Milton... Montgomery... Chesapeake... Eleanor... Marmet... Ansted

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Turn around... dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* a system was bringing strong... heavy thunderstorms to the area
tonight. Some flooding has already been reported in the
Huntington tri-state area. These storms may generate locally
heavy rainfall rates that could cause additional flash
flooding.

* Recent rainfall has primed the area so that small streams and
creeks may rise rapidly.

* The most prone areas tonight are central and southern West
Virginia... and southwest Virginia.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
